At Coco and the Pets, we understand how important your canine companion is to you, and we strive to make sure that each one feels safe, secure, and most of all loved throughout their stay. Since 2017, we’ve helped pet parents feel comfortable and supported by providing a cosy spot with loving care for all small dogs.

Upon entering our pet-friendly environment, your pup will be greeted by an experienced animal care professional who is passionate about providing nothing but the best for each guest. We’ll get to know their individual needs, preferences, and personality so we can tailor the experience accordingly. Whether it’s a day at play in the yard or a snuggly sleepover; we do whatever it takes to ensure every dog has an enjoyable visit.

Our facility offers plenty of space for exercising, playing games (indoors or out), lounging on comfortable beds, and even a designated area where pups can take a nap after meals or activities.  There are also plenty of other friendly pups eager to play together and make new furry friends. 

We pride ourselves on our close relationships with customers and genuine love for their furry family members. We believe in creating an atmosphere that’s inviting for both pet parents and their four-legged friends alike – making every visit memorable for everyone involved!

Our Story 

It all started with a dog.  Well, wanting a dog, that is.

Back in 2017, my husband Joel and I were talking about getting our own dog. With neither of us having the time to commit to looking after a pet due to our heavy work commitments (I was a flight attendant for Virgin Australia and he held a full-time job with travel commitments), we decided that pet-sitting would be the perfect way to enjoy the warmth, love, and support that comes with having a furry friend while also helping other busy professionals, families, and pet owners.

At first it started off small – just a few dogs here and there while I was doing my shifts with Virgin. For years I was able to fit pet sitting into my monthly work roster, minding cats, dogs and even fish. This arrangement gave me the chance to experience plenty of canine love while still keeping up with my daily duties at Virgin. 

...and then came COVID.

Little did I know, this side hustle would soon turn into something much bigger and become part of my adventure. As the world entered into lockdown and I was asked more and more frequently to stand down at my job, I found myself with more time to invest in pet care.  While my job at Virgin was amazing, I quickly realized that caring for animals was really what I looked forward to every day.

It seemed like fate had stepped in: By standing down from my role at Virgin, it gave me the chance to do what I truly loved full-time. My husband Joel saw an opportunity; we expanded our space and developed a new facility for our furry friends - creating an amazing oasis for them where they can relax, hang out, play games, take part in group activities, and everything in between.

We worked hard to create an oasis - complete with grassy areas for them to explore during playtime; sunbaked decks so they can soak up some Vitamin D while lounging around; comfy beds for them to snuggle in; an endless supply of toys and treats – you name it!

We’ve come a long way since those days back in 2017 when we were just dreaming of having a pup of our own. Today, we are proud owners of Coco and the Pets – providing quality pet care services whilst bringing joy and happiness into the lives of pups all around Sydney!
